CAUSE AWARENESS: In the face of HUNGER....

My Muslim brothers and sisters, how can we fill our stomach to the fullest when many of our brothers and sisters elsewhere have nothing to feed themselves, their families more so their own children and worst, die out of hunger? Let us remember them today and especially during the Ramadhan, we can do something for them! In sha Allah.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN: UPUAN (Special Report on Educational System)

"Upuan" -the Filipino word for chair, a simple need in a classroom,yet each year we find many public schools in the Philippines, lacking this simple need. Students have to share chairs or even sit on floors in packed, overcrowded classrooms.... How could MOST of our children learn with this kind of situation?! Still, I admire the determination of students, many coming from the poorest families, to finish their education!

Imagine eating dishes prepared by Manila’s famous chefs using produce from our fishers and farmers? That’s what I got to experience today as Oxfam Philippines launched its GROW campaign for sustainable food.
John Sayer, director General of Oxfam Hongkong gave an inspiring message of hope for the hungry. “Our world is capable of feeding all of humanity yet one in seven of us are hungry today. As climate change impacts become increasingly severe and fertile land and fresh water supplies become increasingly scare, feeding the world will get harder still. Millions more men , women and children will go hungry unless we transform the way we manage our food system.
